COVID-19 Vaccine Overview

NOTICE: The Health Department will not ask you for your credit card information. There is no cost for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines are an important tool in stopping the spread of the virus. Even with vaccine distribution beginning, it will still take months to reach community immunity. We must continue to stay home, wear a mask, physically distance, and practice good hand hygiene.

The Manitowoc County Health Department is currently enrolled to receive, store, and administer vaccine. In an effort to roll the vaccines out equitably, quickly, and safely, the State of WI has a framework for allocation. This framework is comprised of multiple phases and each phase has a list of eligible individuals who can receive the vaccine. To learn more about vaccine phases eligibility, please visit this DHS website.
